American Horror Stories has given fans another great episode! Cody Fern’s performance is the biggest highlight, but the episode is also features a chilling story that is actually loosely based on true events. Are there real feral people living in our national parks?

Not every episode of American Horror Stories has been great. The first three are “just fine,” but the fourth was a cringe-fest to watch. Episode 5 makes a splendid recovery as Billie Lourd stepped up to save the spin-off and show them how it’s done.

I’m happy to say that American Horror Stories episode 6 is another great chapter. Cody Fern reminds us once again why we love him, portraying a park ranger with a charming accent. The horror king wasn’t featured in the episode as much as we would have liked, but he stole every scene.

Please note there are spoilers ahead!

American Horror Stories episode 6: Are feral people real?

American Horror Stories episode 6 follows a family on a camping trip. Their 3-year-old son, Jacob, goes missing and ten years go by without a trace of him.

As it turns out, Jacob was taken by a group of cannibals. For some reason, instead of eating Jacob, they kept him and Jacob now appears to rule over them. Even though it seemed as if Jacob recognized his parents, having been raised by the cannibals, he has no feelings and only sees them as dinner.

Before the parents became the main course, the park’s ranger told them about a group of feral people. No one knows how long they have been around or where, exactly, they come from, but the government and rangers are aware of them.

This isn’t the first time I hear about this.

It has long been rumored that national parks are home to feral people. There are many conspiracy theories about them. Those who believe this to be true, also believe this is why there are so many “mysterious disappearances” around national parks.

If you care to learn more about the subject, Missing 411 is a good documentary to watch. It is based on the book series by David Paulides in which he chronicles the many unsolved disappearances and similar stories.

Drivin’ & Vibin’ is also a great page to check out for more information and eerie stories!

Of course, nothing confirms any of this, but these disappearances, disturbing discoveries, and strange sightings in the woods have long been documented.
