Flee is a new documentary releasing this year, and it has been taking the film festival circuit by storm. Everywhere it plays it is garnering massive amounts of praise, and winning awards; including winning the Grand Jury Prize at the most recent Sundance Film Festival. Here’s everything you need to know about the Flee movie.

This highly anticipated film isn’t just doing well within the festival circuit, but critics seem to have taken a liking to the documentary as well. Flee currently holds a massive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes out of 48 reviews (with the average being 8.6/10) and a 91 on MetaCritic.

Told mainly through animation, this film will be a different kind of documentary that most people aren’t used to seeing. That, along with the fact that the film is executive produced by recent Oscar nominee Riz Ahmed, tells us that Flee is poised to make a splash in the 2022 Awards Race.

This film looks to be eligible for multiple categories such as Documentary, International Feature, Animated Feature, and even has been garnering buzz as a potential nominee for the coveted Best Picture award.

Flee movie release date: When will it be coming out?

Even though Flee has been seen in multiple film festivals around the globe, NEON has confirmed that Flee will have its wide release in theaters on Dec. 3, 2021.

With everything changing every day, this date is subject to change as well, however, it seems like NEON, who over the years has been making major waves in the Awards Races, is wanting to release this film during the eligibility window for the 2022 Oscars.
