The Game revival release date confirmed for November 2021

More than six years after signing off the air with its series finale, The Game is making a comeback on Paramount Plus via the streaming service’s highly anticipated The Game revival!

From the moment Paramount Plus first announced it would be reviving The Game in early 2021, fans of the groundbreaking series have been anxiously counting down the days until the show’s return, while also keeping an eye on the cast to see which beloved actors would be returning for the new season.

During its Television Critics Association presentation on Aug. 31, Paramount Plus revealed a wave of exciting new details about the upcoming revival project including the addition of a few new cast members, another returning favorite, and a release date that is coming up sooner than many might have anticipated!

Perhaps the most exciting and notable announcement from Paramount Plus during its TCA presentation was the news that The Game revival will debut on Paramount Plus on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021. Much like fellow Paramount Plus originals, new episodes are expected to drop weekly with 10 episodes in total planned for the first season of the revival series.

Not only will The Game be coming back, but Paramount Plus’s revival series will feature the returns of several beloved members of the cast in various roles. Among those set to return for the upcoming revival series are Raquel Robinson as sports agent Tasha Mack; Hosea Chanchez as footballer Malik Wright; Brittany Daniel as Kelly Pitts; Pooch Hall as Derwin Davis; and Coby Bell as former footballer Jason Pitts.

The series will also introduce several new cast members including Adriyan Rae as Brittany Pitts, the daughter of Jason and Kelly Pitts; Vaughn Hebron as Jamison Fields, an undrafted free agent; Analisa Velez as Raquel Navarro, Brittany’s best friend; Tim Daly as play Colonel Ulysses S. Thatcher, a self-made billionaire; and Toby Sandeman as Garret Evans, the top football player in the league.

Here’s how Paramount Plus officially describes its The Game revival:

"Relocating from San Diego to Sin City, The Game returns with a mix of new players and original cast to offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football. The team will tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love – all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play THE GAME."

At this time, Paramount Plus has not yet released the trailer for The Game revival but with the series coming this November, it shouldn’t be too much longer before a trailer arrives!
