Grey’s Anatomy Season 18: Who is Nick Marsh?

Scott Speedman turned up in the Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 premiere and will become a series regular. Meredith knew him, but who is Nick Marsh?

While Meredith was at a dedication for her mother (and found out there was a lab in her name) she came across a face she recognized at the hotel she was staying in. Grey’s Anatomy fans got a surprise when Scott Speedman turned up in the episode. Nick Marsh is back.

According to TVLine, Speedman is going to be a series regular. It’s something many fans asked for when he originally turned up, especially when it came to characters for Meredith to start dating.

However, there would have been some confused by the character. There weren’t flashbacks to help jog memories, so it led to some viewers wondering who this guy was.

Who is Nick Marsh on Grey’s Anatomy?

Nick turned up first in Grey’s Anatomy Season 14. He’s a transplant surgeon and was at Grey Sloan Memorial for a liver retrieval. He collapsed and became a patient. It turned out there was a blood clot cutting off blood flow to his kidney (he’d just had a kidney transplant weeks earlier).

Meredith managed to save his new kidney. There was plenty of flirtation between the two characters, and it was quickly clear that these two could make a cute couple.

Nick is now back, and he’s back for the season. We’ll get a chance to see more of this relationship.

What will it mean for Meredith and Hayes? Well, during the Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 premiere we found out that the two had started dating but they broke up. Hayes’s youngest son was struggling to deal with his dad dating again so the two did the best thing for him and broke up. It opens Meredith up for a relationship with Nick.
