Why you should watch: Hocus Pocus is just about the most perfect movie for the whole family to watch together during the Halloween season. Having become a bit of a cult classic, Hocus Pocus always has to make ‘what to watch during Halloween’ lists.
The story follows the Sanderson sisters who awake after 300 years to terrorize Salem with their witch powers. What makes this movie great is the trio cast of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najmy’s chemistry together. Hocus Focus is a menacing tale that can’t help but come off us as hilarious with these three. If you aren’t a Disney+ subscriber, not to worry, Hocus Pocus will be shown during Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween.
Stranger Things
Where is it streaming? Netflix
Why you should watch: Stranger Things swept the nation when it debuted back in 2016, as it immediately became a hit. Viewers were transfixed by the milieu and delighted to see the return of Winona Rider. Fans haven’t received a new season since 2019, but season 4 is set to debut in 2022. What better way to get a refresh than a binge of the first three seasons on Netflix? Stranger Things is the perfect blend of family-friendly and true terror that can easily get the heart rate going.
