Chucky episode 2 recap: Did Chucky really have a child?

Chucky episode 2 took us once again to Charles Ray’s beginnings and he even shares something personal with Jake — Did he really have a kid?

Those who may not be familiar with the Child’s Play movies may be confused about something Chucky tells Jake. Now, we all know that Chucky is a manipulator. He’ll say what he needs to say to get what he wants, and in episode 2, he wants Jake to kill Lexy.

However, Chucky is also brutally honest and he’s not exactly shy, either. That said, we’re never sure when to believe him.

In Chucky episode 2, Jake is feeling stressed (who wouldn’t be?), Chucky tries to make Jake feel better and tells him, “you know…I had a queer kid. Gender-fluid.” Jake is surprised and asks Chucky if he’s okay with that. Chucky responds, “I’m not a monster, Jake.”

Whether you are a new fan of the movies or don’t remember (it’s been a while), here’s refresher! Yes, Chucky did have a kid — two, in fact! Twins! They are Glen and Glenda. How does a doll have a kid? How did all happen? Were they humans, first?

Listen…that’s a story for another day. The Child’s Play movies are wild! Instead of trying to explain it (because you’ll still be puzzled), why not watch the movies?

What happens in Chucky episode 2?

It’s been about a week since the death of his dad. Jake is back at school and trying to move on. While Jake chats with Devon, we learn that Devon lost his dad, too.

At a party, everyone wants Jake to bring Chucky after Chucky “killed it” at the talent show. Of course, once there, no one is nice to Jake. Lexy even dresses up as Jake’s dad and pretends to get electrocuted. This girl is pure evil, I’m telling you!

As for how Chucky found his way to the party, he dressed up as Hello Kitty and it is hilarious. He asks a lady where the big party is and she tells him. Then, Chucky gives the unsuspecting lady an apple with a small blade hidden inside.

In a flashback, we see a young Charles finding a blade in his apple after trick-or-treating. Instead of telling his parents, Charles gives the apple a big bite and smiles as blood runs down his mouth.

Chucky bonds with Caroline, Lexy’s sister, at the party, telling her, “killing is good clean fun for the whole family,” and other fun and classic Chucky one-liners.

At the end of the day, Chucky’s attempts to kill Lexy fail, but after the stunt Lexy pulled, Jake appears motivated.

Who dies in Chucky episode 2?

Back at the Wheeler’s home, the maid is setting up the dishwasher and we notice the blades are placed with the blade up (who does that?). Chucky pushes her, easy kill. I think Chucky would have found a way to kill her anyway, but let’s learn a lesson here and never put knives or anything sharp with the blade up.

Jake knows it’s Chucky who killed the maid, but Chucky denies it, saying “I’m your friend till the end.” Classic Chucky.
