Almost everything aired new on Wednesday, Oct. 20. Here’s a look at how the live TV ratings looked for Batwoman, CSI: Vegas, and more.

The only show that didn’t air a new episode last night was The Conners on ABC. It’s not 100% clear why that was the case, but it could be linked to some big episodes recently, including the live episode and Dan’s wedding.

The rerun may have caused problems for episodes that ran after it. Home Economics fell by 21% in both the demo and audience. There wasn’t an episode of A Million Little Things, but ABC opted for a new episode of Superstar. The demo was up 7% from the last new episode in September, but the audience was down 8%.

It’s clear that Superstar is more of a filler show and nothing to be overly concerned about. Home Economics‘s drop is concerning.

The Wonder Years did drop 25% in the demo and 26% in the audience, but this is a show just finding its feet and its audience. It’s a strong performer in comedies on the network overall, so I think we’ll see it renewed.

Batwoman up, CSI: Vegas down in the live TV ratings

Most TV shows saw dips in the live TV ratings on Wednesday, Oct. 20. The only show to see an upward tick in both the demo and the audience was Batwoman, ticking up 25% in the demo and 3% in the audience. This is a good sign for the future of the series, and I think it’s going to be renewed.

Legends of Tomorrow was up 11% in the demo, but it was 7% down in the audience. I’m not concerned about this show, though. If you look at the actual numbers, they are on the low side for The CW, but everything has been down this season for the network so far. It’s going to be interesting to see how things are next week when the straggler fall shows are back.

The three One Chicago Shows were all down in both the demo and the audience. Chicago Fire was down the least and it was still the top show in the audience. It was also the top drama of the night in the demo. The dips will be disappointing, but we’re not worried about the One Chicago shows. They’re all renewed for next season already.

CBS started the night with mixed results. Survivor was up 8% in the demo but down 4% in the audience. It did have the top performer overall in the demo, and I’m sure the series is going to be renewed. Tough as Nails and CSI: Vegas were both down. They’re just not holding onto the numbers that Survivor initially brings to the network, and that’s certainly concerning. I don’t think either will end up being renewed.

Alter Ego is another show I’m sure is going to be canceled. It’s dropped in both the demo and audience again, with the demo down by 11%.

The Masked Singer in the hour before it was down, but the demo was still at 0.9, so a good amount that will lead to the show likely being renewed. Alter Ego dropped to 0.4 in the hour after. This is a bad sign suggesting the new reality show isn’t going to be renewed.
