Batwoman season 3 episode 5 livestream: “A Lesson from Professor Pyg”

Batwoman season 3 is keeping it all in the family this week with episode 5 “A Lesson from Professor Pyg” which hopefully means we’ll be getting more information on Jada Jet and what exactly she has hiding in the dark webs of her past.

Last episode, “Antifreeze” revealed that she’s the one who’d contracted The Black Glove Society to find a way to recreate Victor Fries’ cryogenic technology that enabled him to put his wife, Nora, on ice as he looked for a cure to save her life.

Jada seems to have buried her head in the sand in terms of the methods the unscrupulous group used to get her what she wants and it might come back to bite not just her but her family, too, in episode 5.

Though it’s unclear what Jada’s plans are for the tech besides possibly putting her son, Marquis, into the coldest sleep of his life, she may not get a chance to enact her plan before someone else comes a knockin’ at her door.

The episode synopsis via The CW:

"COME AND GET IT — Ryan (Javicia Leslie) asks Sophie (Meagan Tandy) to accompany her to a dinner at Jada’s (Robin Givens) to do recon on what her estranged mother knows about Wayne Enterprises, but the evening takes a turn when an uninvited guest drops in on the intimate gathering. As the terrifying evening unfolds, Ryan witnesses another side to Marquis (Nick Creegan) and her mother."

Who’s coming to dinner? Well, based on the episode’s title, it looks to be Batwoman‘s version of Lazlo Valentin otherwise known as Professor Pyg. We’ll have to wait to see if this villain will be just as obsessed with perfection as their comic book predecessor or if the show will have their own spin on the character, but it’s sure to be an unsettling meal for everyone at the table.

Though given the direction Batwoman has taken with Batman’ villains, it’s possible the caped crusader had a Pyg trophy that some poor soul came across. If that’s the case, yet another person will have fallen prey to the madness and dark desires locked inside these trophies.
