Jennifer Aniston has the best reaction to Paul Rudd being named Sexiest Man Alive

In recent years, those who are awarded the title of Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine are usually met with divisive responses, with fans excited about the decision and others confused. In 2021, however, it seems like no one can disagree with the man who was chosen, as it’s none other than Paul Rudd!

Rudd, who has become a running joke over the past few years for seemingly never aging, turned 52 this year. He’s known for a long list of memorable roles, including but not limited to Josh in Clueless, Peter Klaven in I Love You, Man and Scott Lang/Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many might also recognize him best as Mike Hannigan in Friends.

Fans will remember Mike Hannigan as Phoebe Buffay’s (Lisa Kudrow) longtime boyfriend, who she eventually marries in Friends season 10. He’s one of the best characters on the NBC sitcom and the actor who plays him is widely loved by the fanbase.

One of those fans would be Jennifer Aniston, who, of course, portrayed Rachel Green on Friends. As reported by Huffington Post, the 52-year-old actress took to social media to celebrate the Sexiest Man Alive news, and her reaction is so great.

Aniston posted a video and photo to her Instagram Story, writing in one share: “This makes me so happy. We’ve ALWAYS known this, but Paul Rudd is officially @people’s Sexiest Man Alive!”
She then added: “You don’t age, which is weird. But we still love you.”

It seems like a no-brainer that Rudd would at least be in the running to become People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive. The comedian spoke about the new title with the magazine, jokingly saying:

"“I’m hoping now that I’ll finally be invited to some of those sexy dinners with Clooney and Pitt and B Jordan. And I figure I’ll be on a lot more yachts. I’m excited to expand my yachting life. And I’ll probably try to get better at brooding in really soft light. I like to ponder. I think this is going to help me become more inward and mysterious. And I’m looking forward to that.”"

We unfortunately shouldn’t expect Paul Rudd to reprise his Friends role anytime soon, but at least he’s stayed in the spotlight and we can see him continue to succeed!
