Riverdale season 6 cast: Who is in the five episode “Rivervale” event?

Riverdale season 6 returns Tuesday, Nov. 16 with a five episode event on The CW called “Rivervale.”

It’s the first of its kind for this roller coaster ride of a soap opera. While the cast have sung and danced their way through flashback episodes and musicals, there’s never been a Riverdale event of this magnitude before. We suspect much of this has to do with Cheryl Blossom’s hinted at magical lineage.

The town’s redheaded quip-filled queen of maple syrup tapped into some abilities last season that left fans wondering if she’d finally be calling on the witchy roots that were first alluded to in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Given the spell she inadvertently cast in the finale and the town’s sudden name change to Rivervale, it seems that time has finally arrived. But who will be along for this twisting plot that could change Riverdale as we know it?

Mark Consuelos’ Hiram Lodge likely won’t be a part of “Rivervale.” Though the Big Bad left a parting gift for Archie in the form of a bomb beneath his bed, his drive out of town could be the last fans will see of his character for awhile.

The five episode event will, however, include a crossover fans of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Archieverse have been waiting for since Greendale made its first appearance on Riverdale.

Sabrina Spellman is finally making her debut in the show. Kiernan Shipka will be reprising the role she brought to life for Netflix’s CAOS. She’ll make her appearance in episode four, “The Witching Hour(s).” Additional guest stars from the series haven’t been announced.
