Christmas comedies for the family

Home Alone: One word: Kevin! If you’re like my family, then watching Home Alone is a Christmas tradition. Kevin McCallister is a legend around the holidays, and rightfully so. He defended his house from burglars. I doubt most kids could do that!

For those who don’t know, Home Alone tells the story of the exuberent Kevin McCallister, an eight-year boy who was left home alone by mistake instead of heading to Paris with his family. While they’re away, two petty criminals, Harry and Marv, attempt to rob Kevin’s house. However, the two thieves did not plan on a house full of booby traps set by an eight-year-old. Trust me, this film is a family favorite!

Stream Home Alone on Disney+.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation: The adventures of Clark Griswold return as he attempts to host the best holiday ever in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Clark is expecting a calm holiday until his rambunctious cousin, Eddie, and his family show up uninvited and spend the holidays with the Griswolds. Although this film may not be for toddlers, it’s perfectly fine for older children. Plus, parents will be laughing the entire time especially when Clark messes up time and time again.

Stream National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on HBO Max.
