A new Thursday brought a night of mostly new scripted shows. How did the live TV ratings fare? Here’s a look for the whole night on Thursday, Nov. 18.

The majority of networks had new episodes of scripted shows (or usual programming when you consider FOX’s Thursday Night Football. NBC and CBS had reruns at various points in the night.

It’s worth noting that Bull and Law & Order: Organized Crime both had reruns that fared better in the audience than a new episode of Big Sky, which was down 11% in the demo and 1% in the audience. This is not a good sign for the ABC drama. I have a feeling the series is going to be canceled if it doesn’t pick up when it returns sometime in March 2022.

Of course, Thursday Night Football won the night with its 8.09 million viewers and the 2.1 demo. That’s not surprising. Let’s get into the other scripted shows.

Legacies mixed, Station 19 down in the live TV ratings

ABC had a mixed night. Station 19 was down 6% in the demo and 2% in the audience. The show is still strong in its timeslot, though. Likewise, Grey’s Anatomy was steady in the demo and down 3% in the audience, but good for the timeslot.

Station 19 is going to be renewed. As long as Ellen Pompeo signs on for another season, I’m sure we’ll see Grey’s Anatomy renewed too. I do think the series is strong enough to continue without Meredith in every episode, though.

NBC only had a new episode of The Blacklist, which was mixed. It was up 3% in the demo but down almost 2% in the audience. I do think this is the final season for the series, and not just based on the live TV ratings. NBC has done barely any promotion for this season!

The CW’s night was also mixed. Walker was down 16% in the demo but steady in the audience. Legacies was also down 16% in the demo but up 59% in the audience. I don’t think we have to worry about either of these shows. The CW is pretty good with renewing shows after they get through their first season renewals.

Lastly, it’s all about the comedies on CBS. They were all mixed, but I don’t think they’re anything to be worried about. Out of all the Thursday comedies, it’s B Positive that concerns me the most. It is the lowest-rated comedy on the whole network, which certainly makes it a threat of being canceled.

dark. Next. 13 characters we definitely don't miss on Grey's Anatomy
