House of Guccistarring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, is in theaters on Nov. 24, 2021. Need to know why the movie is rated R before taking the family out to see it over the weekend? We have all the details!

One of the most anticipated movies of the year is House of Gucci. The movie features an all-star cast and follows the shocking true story of the rise and fall of the Italian fashion empire, Gucci. The story mostly centers on Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), a woman from humble beginnings who marries into the Gucci family.

Since the movie premieres on Thanksgiving week, many families go to the movie theater to catch the latest film, but House of Gucci may not be for you. The movie is rated R so it won’t be suitable for young children or most teens. You know your family best, though, so here’s why the movie got that R rating.

Why is House of Gucci rated R?

When it comes to movie ratings, parents are always the best judges. Some kids may be more mature than others and handle language and some violence, but not gore or sexual content. This is why it’s important to check movie ratings. And just because someone is of age doesn’t mean they enjoy R movies. To each their own!

House of Gucci is rated R for some sexual content, language, brief nudity, and violence. The violence includes a shooting, and the nudity is very brief. There’s language throughout, and some strong sexual content.

For this movie, I do suggest it only to audiences over the age of 17, and the rating recommends. The run time is approximately 2 hours and 37 minutes long. The movie also stars Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Al Pacino, and Salma Hayek.

House of Gucci is only available in theaters. Following its big screen release, the movie will stream on Paramount+.
