Most networks opted for reruns or specials on Wednesday, Nov. 24, but there were a few new episodes of our favorite TV shows. Here’s how they fared in the live TV ratings.

Putting new episodes of favorite shows on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is always risky. Most networks opted for reruns or specials.

NBC brought us a Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving special, which did pull in lower numbers than the One Chicago lineup. However, it was probably a safer options. The Queen Family Singalong special on ABC was a rerun from a couple of weeks ago and also pulled in lower numbers than A Million Little Things usually does, but again, likely a lower risk.

FOX had a full night of reruns. NBC and ABC opted for reruns at the start of the night. It was only CBS and The CW that risked things with new episodes.

Survivor down, Legends of Tomorrow up in the live TV ratings

The risk may have been worth it. Only Survivor saw both the demo and audience numbers dip. The numbers were still the best of the night, and we already know this show is being renewed.

Tough as Nails was up 2% in the demo and 4% in the audience. Will it be enough for a renewal. That’s not clear just yet. I’m still on the fence.

CSI: Vegas was mixed. It dipped 7% in the demo but gained 3% in the audience. The audience was the second-best of the night thanks to all the specials and reruns.

The CW had a great night. Legends of Tomorrow started things by going up 25% in the demo and 2% in the audience. Batwoman continued the success by going up 25% in the demo and 14% in the audience. There’s no doubt that both of these TV shows are going to be renewed.

Take a look at the live TV ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 24 to see how your favorite shows performed. We won’t be looking into how Thursday, Nov. 25 performs as it is Thanksgiving and there’s nothing usual on.
