Watch: Die Hard

For the whole family? This isn’t really for the whole family. Older teenagers will likely appreciate it, though.

What it’s about: Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie. I’m not going to argue with you about that. It’s the movie I have on every Christmas Eve while wrapping gifts.

The movie doesn’t really need much of an introduction. You’ve likely seen it thousands of times already. For those who have been living under a rock, it’s about a man who manages to avoid German terrorists who invade the building of a Japanese firm while a Christmas party is going on. That man, John McClane, needs to use his skills to save as many innocent people as he can.

Of course, there is plenty of action. There are also some hilarious moments and memorable lines. There are sequels, but nothing beats the original movie.

Why you should watch it: This is perfect for when you’re wrapping gifts. You don’t need to concentrate too much on it, especially if it’s not the first time you’ve watched it.

It’s perfect for those who need an action movie with a Christmas theme. You’ll get the chance to sit back and just enjoy the story for what it’s meant to be. There are some moments that just wouldn’t really work out in real life, but isn’t that the point of watching action movies? Are they ever meant to be real?

You’re watching for the entertainment. That’s it.
