When does La Brea season 2 begin filming?

After such an intense cliffhanger, La Brea fans are eager to see what happens next in their new favorite drama. When does La Brea season 2 premiere on NBC? Has the new season even started filming? Here’s everything we know so far!

On Nov. 30, 2021, the first season of La Brea came to a close. It left us with many questions, to say the least, including the most important question of all — who survived? You won’t find spoilers here! But if you missed the finale, just know that audiences are not sure who made it out or who even survived the ordeal.

Need to catch up on all the episodes before you read on? No problem! The first season of La Brea is now streaming on Peacock, and even though I watched one episode each week and enjoyed the drama and cliffhangers, it’s also a lot of fun binge-watching all episodes.

Is La Brea season 2 already filming?

Filming for La Brea, and just about any show this coming season, is going to be a little complicated due to the ongoing pandemic and new variant. But, at the time of this writing, TV Line reports that plans are still in motion to kick off production in spring 2022, according to series creator and co-showrunner David Appelbaum.

Where will La Brea season 2 be filmed?

The source shares that Australia will continue being the filming location for La Brea. Appelbaum commented, “there’s a natural wonder to the landscape there [Australia] that is perfect for 10,000 B.C. — things you can’t really get in a lot of other places.”

Filming in Australia also means very cold temperatures for the cast and crew! Remember, we the USA doesn’t share the same seasons as Australia. What is Spring season for us is winter for them.

When is La Brea season 2 coming out?

The NBC drama doesn’t have a set release date just yet, but we are assuming it will come out around the same time as the first season did, September. That said, we believe La Brea season 2 will premiere on NBC sometime in Fall 2022. As soon as we learn more, we’ll update this post!
