The year 2021 gave movie fans some brilliant movies, but also some major fails. Here are 12 of the best and 7 of the worst movies of 2021.

We have reached the end of the year and it is time for the best of series here at Hidden Remote, where we highlight some of our favorite film and tv shows of the year. So after watching over 300+ 2021 movies, I can officially release the 12 best (and 7 worst) movies of 2021.

I take my rankings each year rather seriously and that is why I try to watch as many as I can to make my list as accurate as possible. One of the other things I love about making this list is highlighting films maybe you’ve never heard of so that you can go and check them out.

When watching movies, I love going into a film knowing as little as possible so that I can go with a clear head. I don’t watch many trailers (only at the theater when forced), but what I love the most is walking out of a film that I didn’t expect to blow me away, to blow me away.

The best (and worst) movies of 2021

There are plenty of movies I can recommend that’ll make you get out of your comfort zone, but we all love our mainstream films. However, some of the best movies I’ve seen this year are ones I knew next to no one in the cast or who the writer/directors were, so I’m including a little bit of everything on this list.

Some of the films not on my top 12 that I think you should check out include The Manor (Amazon Prime Video), The Harder They Fall (Netflix), The Humans (Showtime), The Last Duel, No Ordinary Love, The Card Counter, and Shiva Baby (HBO Max).

With all that being said, let’s go ahead and dive right into the 12 best (and 7 worst) movies of 2021.
