Spider-Man: No Way Home is almost in theaters and families can’t wait to go to the big screen to watch the most anticipated movie of the year. The movie is rated PG-13, like most movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have, but why did it get this rating?

If memory serves me right, all movies in the MCU are rated PG-13 as they feature violence and action sequences. Eternals is rated PG-13 too, but it surprised us with brief sexuality that we aren’t used to seeing in MCU movies. Needless to say, parents watching with younger children were caught off guard. But we can count on Spidey, right? Let’s see why Spider-Man: No Way Home is rated PG-13.

Why is Spider-Man: No Way Home rated PG-13?

As I always say, it’s up to each parent what movies their kids see. Parents know their kids best and each one is different. Some kids can handle the action and know better than to repeat bad language, as Captain America would say. It also depends on your kiddos age.

According to Rotten TomatoesNo Way Home is rated PG-13 for sequences of action, some violence, brief suggestive comments, and some language.

I’ve seen the movie in an advanced screener and have young kids who I believe will really enjoy the movie! Spider-Man is also the friendliest hero, I think kids over the age of 6 will enjoy the movie. If your kid doesn’t sit still for too long or it is tough to keep him distracted, there are a few slow moments in the movie. Other than that, there’s plenty of fun action and moments.
