Dexter: New Blood episode 9 recap: Will Angela arrest Dexter?

Dexter: New Blood episode 9 is streaming on the Showtime app and airs on the network tonight, Jan. 2, at 9 p.m. ET, so if you haven’t seen it just yet know that spoilers are ahead!

Once again, spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Dexter: New Blood episode 9 on Showtime. 

Episode 9, “The Family Business,” continues to see Dexter and Harrison bonding. While Dexter was careful and tip-toed around how much to tell Harrison about his past, Harrison quickly caught on. The flash-back scenes of Dexter in his iconic army green shirt were very nostalgic. I loved everything about these scenes.

“The Family Business” also surprisingly brought back Dexter, features a shocking death, and brings Angela one step closer to the truth.

Angela has been trying to find Molly, especially after listening to the podcast. What more could Molly know about the Bay Harbor Butcher? Unfortunately, all Angela finds in Molly’s hotel is her tape recorder, which Molly would never leave behind. Later, we find Molly’s dead body in Kurt’s secret basement along with all of his previous victims.

This is the end for Kurt! With the help of Harrison, Dexter kills and dismembers Kurt. A fun throwback for fans, but Harrison had to step out of the room. It’s understandably too much for him.

What do you think Angela will do with this information?
