911 Season 5 will not return with new episodes in January 2022

A lot of our favorite shows are back after taking the holiday season off. 911 Season 5 is not one of those shows coming back this month.

If you’re looking forward to the return of your favorite first responders, you’ll want to tame the excitement. We’re not going to get to see the 118 in action this month.

We’ve double-checked the list, but it’s definitely not on the list of shows returning in January 2022 on FOX. This isn’t all that surprising, but that didn’t mean we weren’t hoping for a miracle.

We already knew the series was heading off on an extended break. This is actually pretty normal for 911. The good news is we at least have some first responders to watch in the new year.

When is 911 Season 5 back on FOX?

We have a lengthy wait for 911 Season 5. The new episodes will return sometime in March. We don’t have an exact date just yet, but expect it to be sometime toward the middle or end of the month.

This break is due to filming. In previous seasons that have aired in the fall, we’ve always seen this lengthy break between Christmas and March. It’s the way the show likes to film and get episodes ready for us.

We do have the 126 to keep us company, though. Okay, the team has been broken up, but we’ll still get all the characters with their new firehouses. Yes, 911 Lone Star is back, and it will take the Monday slot that starts off the entire night of new programming.

The new season sees a winter storm hit Texas. What’s not clear is whether there will be calls to firefighters around the country to help like there was when it came to the wildfires. Could we see a surprise crossover event with the 118?
