NCIS season 19 episode 11: How is the team in danger?

NCIS season 19 episode 11 had another episode that had the team onboard a ship to find out why a black ops team was in the middle of an ocean with a dead sailor onboard. The episode introduced us to the Stargazer, a research ship focusing on deep-sea minerals. When they pick up a small ship with members of the Navy onboard, NCIS is called in to find out what happened.

Despite not knowing what is going on, Parker, Nick, Jimmy, and Jessica board the ship while McGee remains at NCIS, unaware of the danger his team is in. While he tries to get help from the cybersecurity team, who apparently have beef with him, the team boards the ship and immediately find themselves in danger.

Soon enough, McGee and Director Vance are made aware that the men who boarded the ship were not involved with the Navy. With the rest of the team in danger, tension abounds, as they have no way of contacting the others.

While Jimmy tends to one of the helicopter pilots who was shot by one of the men involved, Parker tries to get his sat phone to work. In the meantime, Nick and Jessica try to find the crew of the ship, but find themselves in danger after discovering one of the security guards.

NCIS season 19 episode 11 saw the team struggle to survive onboard a ship

Despite being beaten, Nick and Jessica do not give up information on Jimmy or Parker’s whereabouts. Parker sneaks through the vents to find them and then decides to leave the keys for the terrorists to find so they can escape in the helicopter.

When the helo leaves, Jessica is able to make contact with Director Vance and McGee. While she, Nick, Jimmy, and the injured pilot are together, Parker is missing. Using heat signatures from the helo, Kasie realizes that among the three terrorists, another heat signature is present on the help. Parker has snuck onto the helo!

This is certainly a dangerous way to go about finding the bad guys and their location. But it worked and thanks to the injured pilot’s collection of movie soundtracks on his music device, Parker is able to send a signal to NCIS to let them know where he is. Plus, they find out that the men are not terrorists, but thieves who have stolen military equipment and decided to lure the team onto the ship to steal the helo.

Parker certainly has unconventional ways of doing things, much like we know of Gibbs and the others. It has taken time to warm up to him, but so far he seems to be fitting in well with the team. He even begins to consider the team his.

Along with McGee figuring out why he upset the cybersecurity crew, Jessica was on her own mission to impress her niece and her class. Bringing a Paper Pauline doll along on the trip, Pauline unfortunately suffers along with Jessica during her fight for survival. However, it makes for a cool story and she might get bonus points for Pauline helping on an important mission!
