Now, meet the 11 new teams who go on their journey of a lifetime when host Phil Keoghan kicks off the 33rd edition of the CBS Original series THE AMAZING RACE on the two-hour season premiere, Wednesday, Jan. 5 (8:00- 10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*. The historic season began filming in Feb. 2020 but after three legs, was forced to halt production due to the covid-19 pandemic. We are all ready for a new episode of The Amazing Race tonight! After last week’s strange events and multiple teams not returning, we can’t wait to see what the competition series has in store for audiences tonight. What time does The Amazing Race 33 episode 5 start tonight and how can you be sure to watch it as it airs? Or, if you’re not going to be watching the new episode right away, where can you stream the new episode online? We share everything you need to know.

Last week, not only did eliminations take place, but a few teams did not return after the long 20-month break due to COVID-19. Let’s just say…so much has happened! Tonight, with the exception of the ongoing pandemic, things should be going back to normal.

The Amazing Race season 32 filmed before the pandemic, so this is why we were able to enjoy episodes from that season without a big break. However, season 32 wrapped on Dec. 16, 2020. Filming for season 33 of the show didn’t start until February 2020, and that didn’t last for too long.

What time does The Amazing Race 33 episode 5 start tonight, January 26?

Tonight’s episode is titled, “Stairway to Hell,” and audiences will see the teams race through Switzerland. One of the challenges will be bungee jumping over 700 feet off the Verzasca Dam. This is going to be fun to watch! The episode begins at 9 p.m. ET only on CBS.
