Everyone loves a good murder-mystery, especially one that’s also a comedy. This is why Apple TV+ is calling The Afterparty “genre-defying” and it helps that it stars comedy queen Tiffany Haddish,  as well as other great names in the business. Below, we answer what the new series is about and when to tune in (and more).

The Afterparty synopsis

First things first! What is The Afterparty even about? The series follows a group of friends leaving their high school reunion to head to the afterparty, where a murder takes place. Each episode will follow the perspective of one character, so we can see their side of the story. The tone of the episode will also match the character’s personality.

What time is The Afterparty episode 1 coming out?

Tonight! Well, it’ll arrive tonight for some viewers, it depends on your time zone. You see, it premieres at 3 a.m. ET on Friday, which is midnight for those in PST. So, the big question is, will you be watching new episodes as soon as they drop on the platform or catch them later on in the weekend? Just don’t wait too late into the weekend or you’ll likely bump into spoilers online.

Apple TV+ is releasing the first three episodes of the comedy on Friday, Jan. 28, at 3 a.m. ET. After this week, we’ll be getting one weekly episode (on Fridays). There are a total of eight episodes.
