It’s the ’70s, second-wave feminism is developing in Los Angeles, and one woman is on a mission to smash the patriarchy–at least that’s a little of what we know so far about the upcoming HBO Max series, Minx.

Created by Ellen Rapoport and directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg (Unpregnant), the series is revving up to be edgy comedy with Paul Feig as Executive Producer. Below, we share everything we know about the series so far, including the cast and release date.

What is Minx about?

Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond) is an aspiring feminist writer living in Los Angeles during the 1970s who joins forces with a shoddy publisher (Jake Johnson) to develop the first erotic magazine catered toward women. The show is anticipated to explore a combination of humor and social justice. It will likely tackle heavy issues of equity, sexism, activism, censorship and more.
