When does Sonic the Hedgehog 2 come out?

The time is quickly approaching for the world’s favorite blue speedster hedgehog to grace screens once more in Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Based on the popular SEGA video games, this second movie installment is sure to draw in countless fans of the classic games.

What is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 about?

The film picks up after Sonic has settled in Green Hills and is determined to prove he can still be a true hero. It doesn’t take long for his skills to be tested when Dr. Robotnik returns—and this time, he is not alone. That’s right the iconic echidna Knuckles will be joining the Egg Man in search for a powerful emerald that could destroy entire civilizations.

Sonic and Tails work together to stop them on an epic journey to bear the bad guys to the emerald before it’s too late. It’s set to be one exhilarating ride for fans of all ages.

Who’s in Sonic the Hedgehog 2?

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 stars Ben Schwartz (who voices Sonic) along with James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub and Jim Carrey. There are also some new cast members, including Idris Elba (voicing Knuckles), Shemar Moore and Colleen O’ Shaughnessey.

The movie is directed by Jeff Fowler (Where The Wild Things Are) with a screenplay by Pat Casey (Golan the Insatiable), Josh Miller (Hey, Stop Stabbing Me!) and John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie).

When Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in theaters?
