Despite the title only being out for less than 24 hours, the Apple TV+ original series Severance is gaining plenty of acclaim from both critics and audiences alike.

The rave reviews certainly don’t come as a surprise as this series is giving sci-fi horror a completely new meaning and is sure to leave audiences’ minds haunted by the possibility of this story becoming a reality in the future.

Severance synopsis

Severance journeys the like of a man named Mark S. who willingly undergoes a procedure to have the work version of himself separated from the home version of himself. This procedure aims to improve the lives of office workers and possibly prevent burnout, results that should improve participants’ quality of life—or so everyone, especially Mark, thought.

When the lines of what’s known and what’s hidden beneath memories blur, Mark is faced with the unnerving knowledge that his entire life, both personal and professional, may all be a lie.

What’s the truth and who’s telling it? You’ll have to tune in to find out, but until then, read on to learn who you can expect to see in this series.

From Big Little Lies actor Adam Scott who stars as Mark in the series to Succession‘s Zach Cherry who plays the role of Dylan, the cast of Severance features:
