Out of the long list of guilty pleasure comedies Jennifer Aniston has starred in throughout the years, We’re the Millers is still a favorite for many. The 2013 movie saw Jason Sudeikis play a drug dealer who convinces his neighbors to pretend to be his family and smuggle drugs into the country from Mexico.

Aniston plays his fake wife, while Emma Roberts plays his pretend daughter and Will Poulter poses as his son. It’s certainly not an acclaimed film, but the “Waterfalls” singalong scene and the failed “No Ragrets” tattoo make it memorable.

Will Poulter plays the nerdy kid in We’re the Millers but has since gone on to scoop up serious roles in movies like The Revenant and Midsommar. Superhero fans are excited to see him play the role of Adam Warlock in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Recently, the 29-year-old actor spoke with The Independent, where he reflected on one scene in particular in We’re the Millers. At one point in the movie after discovering his character had never kissed a girl before, Aniston and Roberts’ characters decide to teach him a thing or two and they engage in a passionate three-way kiss.

The scene ends on a hilarious note when one of the other characters who believes they’re all a family walks in and sees them making out.

Will Poulter remembers three-way kiss with Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts

At the time, Poulter was just 19 years old, while Aniston was 45 and Roberts was 22. While looking back at that scene, it sounds like it was actually painful to film and to keep reliving. Poulter recalled:

"“It’s one of those things – any scene where there’s some level of intimacy in the context of a broad comedy, where it’s very much a joke and it’s not played with romantic sincerity, is always really awkward. Obviously my main concern in that moment was for Jen and Emma, who I felt very sorry for.”"

Though the scene is apparently one that still gets brought up a ton, Poulter seemingly wants to forget everything about it. He continued with:

"“It’s one of those scenes that, to be honest, 60 per cent of bars and pubs I go into, blokes shout things about that scene at me or ask weird questions I’ve been asked a million times before. I don’t even know how to respond to them. That’s the unfortunate thing with that scene. But Jennifer was an amazing sport. She was very supportive and took care of me, and was aware that, being a 19-year-old kid in that scenario, I was very nervous. This was before intimacy coordinators, which I really would have appreciated, and I’m sure Emma and Jen would have, too.”"

Poulter went on to explain how becoming famous as a young adult had a negative impact on his mental health, forcing him to take a step back from social media around the time Netflix’s

came out in 2018.
