Moon Knight has made a point of introducing its audience to supporting characters that round out the backstories of leads Steven Grant and Marc Spector. With exception to Arthur Harrow, we hadn’t met anyone from the Egyptian god Khonshu’s past prior to episode 3 of the series.

Spoilers ahead of Moon Knight episode 3

Apparently, the god once had a friend in Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, and music. Her avatar, Yatzil, makes Marc aware of this when he’s summoned before the Ennead. Khonshu had manipulated the sky in order to force the gods into an audience.

Yatzil and Hathor are Khonshu’s only allies on the Ennead. While they don’t speak out against the group’s decision to ignore Khonshu’s warnings about Harrow, Yatzil is the lone member to take Marc to the side and give him a means of stopping the acolytes of Ammit.

She puts Marc on the path to finding Ammit. Harrow is already ahead of them when it comes to locating the tomb where the goddess has been hidden for centuries, but there’s still time for Steven, Marc, and Khonshu to find Ammit before Harrow.

Yatzil and Hathor’s help proves invaluable to our heroes in episode 3. Who plays the avatar of the goddess? Here’s what we know!

Who plays Yatzil on Moon Knight?

Yatzil is played by Díana Bermudez. According to the actress’ IMDb bio, Bermudez is a British actor of Colombian descent and Indian American heritage. Moon Knight is her most prominent role to date outside of voicing Frida Kahlo for a 2020 documentary about the iconic artist.

Bermudez is slated to appear as Yatzil through the end of Moon Knight‘s limited series run. We’ll keep you posted on more news and coverage concerning the new Marvel show. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote!
