Better Call Saul season 6 is back and it doesn’t hesitate throwing viewers right into the action, never skipping a beat. We have one too many questions and thoughts after watching the two-hour season 6 premiere, including feelings about where Kim Wexler is headed, because it’s not looking good.

Spoilers ahead if you have not watched Better Call Saul season 6 episodes 1-2 on AMC! Go watch the intense season 6 debut before reading ahead. Final spoiler warning!

Kim Wexler quickly became a fan-favorite among fans. She’s smart, independent, loving, and extremely loyal. Now, initially, we all assumed that it was Jimmy who wrongly influenced Kim. And since Wexler does not appear in the Breaking Bad series, we are all assuming the worst. But after watching the season 6 premiere, it looks like Kim has always had a darker side, Jimmy only helped unlock it. Is Better Call Saul season 6 already teasing Kim Wexler’s downfall?

The Better Call Saul season 6 premiere is the beginning of the end for Kim Wexler

Don’t get me wrong, I do think Jimmy is still to blame. But he had no say in what Kim did in the season 6 premiere. In fact, Jimmy was completely unaware of Kim’s plans. Kim offered to accompany Jimmy to see Betsy and Craig Kettleman. Jimmy offered the Kettlemans money so they won’t talk to anyone about what Jimmy told them about Howard Hamlin. Betsy, however, didn’t want to take the money. Instead, Betsy threatened Jimmy and Kim had heard enough.

Kim made a call, threatening to expose Betsy and Craig for their tax-business scam. Guilty as can be, Betsy begged Kim not to give them up. Kim didn’t let them get away with it that easily, though. Kim tells them to return the money they stole and never do another scam — or else!

Jimmy is caught off guard and quiet the entire time. This is definitely a tougher, no-nonsense Kim Wexler. And, honestly, we would be here for it if it wasn’t for what we know is coming. This is only the beginning of a different Kim, and it’s downhill. Or hey, who knows? Maybe Kim isn’t in jail or dead, maybe she’s an even bigger lawyer and simply parted ways with Jimmy when they realized they have different views now.

There’s only one way to find out, and that’s to continue watching Better Call Saul season 6 only on AMC!
