If you had the chance to prove you were an artist’s biggest supporter, you would take it right? Well some lucky contestants will have the chance to do just that in an upcoming new series, Superfan.

The CBS musical game show will have a total of six episodes, Deadline reports. The competition will have musical fanatics take part in multiple rounds to prove they are the ultimate fan of an artist.

The series will be hosted by executive producer Keltie Knight and television host of CBS Mornings, Nate Burleson. Jack Martin serves as showrunner.

In the one-hour episodes, a different artist will select one fan to win a “once in a lifetime prize.”

Musicians set for Superfan on CBS

There will be a total of six artists, one featured in each episode. Kelsea Ballerini, Gloria Estefan, Little Big Town, LL Cool J, Pitbull, and Shania Twain will let the fangirls or guys be unleashed upon them.

The new series doesn’t have a premiere date yet. Deadline reports it’s going to begin filming in Los Angeles this Friday, April 22.

As its an unscripted television series and its only six episodes, it shouldn’t take too long to film and edit. It’s not like fantasy series that need a lot of post-production work. Depending on when CBS can fit Superfan into its television schedule, I don’t expect the wait to be long. It may air fairly soon.

I wish we had a bit more information about the show. How are contestants going to prove they’re the ultimate fan? Through trivia questions? I’m assuming since there’s six artists and six episodes, each hour long episode will be dedicated to a musician. That’s a lot of time to fill. They’re going to have to be creative to keep viewers tuned in.

Will you be checking out the new series? Do you like the musical artists who have been chosen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
