The Bad Guys is now in theaters. There’s no doubt that your kids want to see it, but what about when it leaves theaters? Where will it stream?

You’re taking the kids to see The Bad Guys in theaters. That part is non-negotiable. What about after the theaters? The kids (and you know you too!) are sure to want to watch the movie over and over again, which means figuring out where it will stream.

Movies that get a theatrical release tend to head to one streaming platform or another. The Bad Guys is going to be one of them, and we can look at the production studio to get an idea of where and when we can expect it to go.

So, will it head to Netflix? What about Prime Video? The Bad Guys will head to HBO and HBO Max after the theatrical release.

The movie is a Universal Pictures movie. We’ve seen Universal Pictures movies head to HBO and HBO Max in the past, and there have been no signs of a change of that contract.

When can we expect it? It’s likely to arrive on the streaming platforms in around six months. At the most, it’s likely to take eight months, but we usually see movies take six months.

This does mean that it will come to DVD and Blu-ray first. It will also come to Digital before heading to a streaming platform. This usually takes six to 12 weeks depending on the agreements in place. Universal Pictures doesn’t have a set release schedule for recent movies to determine a date.

When it does come to Digital, it will be available to buy via multiple services. Look out for it on Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, iTunes, and more.
