When does Cruel Summer season 2 premiere on Freeform?

Season 2 of the Freeform drama series Cruel Summer was absolutely a must for fans of the hit anthology title. Not only was the title extremely riveting, journeying the sudden disappearance of a young girl named Kate Wallis, but it was also a great look at the lengths a person would take to feel some excitement in their typically mundane life, even if that meant leaving someone else for dead.

Though the upcoming sophomore season will leave the story of Kate and her imposter, Jeanette Turner, behind, it is slated to be just as juicy as the first season as it will depict the strange occurrences that happen in a Pacific Northwest town where the truth is begging to be brought to the surface.

"Set in an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest, the second chapter follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship. Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward."
