To Skip or not to skip: Is The Flight Attendant season 2 worth watching?

When The Flight Attendant first premiered, it took off successfully. And us fans were very excited we’d be getting a second season of the HBO Max series.

The Flight Attendant season 2 was one of the most highly-anticipated shows of the year for the streaming service. It has action, comedy, and really great character growth for it titular character Cassie Bowden, played by actress Kaley Cuoco.

In the second season, the alcoholic flight attendant seems to be living her best sober life in Los Angeles, but not everything is as perfect as she’s like to believe. Cassie also takes on the job of human asset for the CIA on the side. She once again gets caught up in an international murder. But that’s not all the crazy in her life. Someone is impersonating her and her Mind World is back. And this time, she’s got multiple versions of herself to deal with.

We’re already halfway through the eight-episode season since HBO Max has been so kind to drop two episodes at once. But next week’s episode release schedule changes. Since we’ve reached the halfway point, I think that’s a fair gauge as to whether the new season is worth the hype.

Should you watch The Flight Attendant season 2?

If you haven’t checked out the new season, then I don’t know what you’ve been doing with your time. The Flight Attendant season 2 is a definite must add to your watch list!

The show has continued to bring the element of mystery, a perfect balance of comedy, and most importantly – character growth. Cassie is a recovering alcoholic, and she’s still rightfully struggling with it. It’s not easy, but she’s been committed. She wants to change and be a better person.

That doesn’t mean it isn’t of course difficult. She’s tempted many times and we see her struggle which is raw and emotional. Kaley Cuoco has really outdone herself this season. There’s so much for her to be dealing with – witnessing the car explosion in Berlin which is how her mark is killed, someone is impersonating her and it’s about to get her in real trouble, and she’s escaping to her Mind World to try and work through her feelings. She’s doing all of this while trying to stay sober.

But don’t worry, it’s not all heavy material. The light-hearted and comedic moments are plenty and help make the show unique. There’s also Cassie’s loyal friends Max and Annie who I absolutely ship so hard! Though Annie has accepted Max’s marriage proposal, she still has a bit of a hard time expressing her feelings. But I know this couple will make be ok.

This is one of my favorite shows and the episodes go by quickly because you’re so invested in the story. And when you’re watching a series, that’s exactly what you want to experience. So watch or skip? Definitely watch!
