It was always her. Who is the “her” I’m referring to? It’s the love of Kevin Pearson’s life on NBC’s This Is Us.

Last week, we finally got our answer to Kevin’s endgame. Who ended up being the lucky lady? The choices were Sophie, Cassidy, and the wedding singer, Arielle. When Sophie arrived at the venue without her luggage, Kevin offered her a ride into town to find a dress. As they reminisce, Sophie shared the news that she divorced her husband, Graham.

Knowing that information about her divorce, Kevin can’t stop staring at Sophie the entire night. The former couple began to hook up in Kevin’s bedroom until Sophie abruptly put an end to it, saying she wants Kevin to fall in love with her for the person she is, not the person she was.

Next up in “Win a romance with Kevin Pearson” was Arielle. The singer shared lyrics she wrote about certain guests at the wedding with Kevin at the hotel bar. She read Kevin the lyrics she wrote about him, which implied he was searching for someone. Later that night, Kevin asked Cassidy if they should be a couple. Cassidy quickly shot that idea down, saying they are best friends and coworkers, not lovers.

Inspired by a pep talk from Randall, Kevin went up to Sophie to confess his love. However, Sophie made a speech before he could get any words out. Sophie reaffirmed her belief that she wants to fall in love with today’s version of Kevin as they have both evolved into better partners. Moved by her speech, Kevin pulled out his Valentine for Sophie he made in grade school. The duo kissed and received a round of applause from the entire Pearson family.
