The 2022 TV cancellation has not been kind, to say the least! On Thursday, May 12, 2022, many networks joined forces and chopped down their lineup by so many shows. So many. If you’re a fan of NBC, you’re likely upset about a few shows, including The Endgame. Here’s a quick list of four NBC shows cancelled too soon.

It’s safe to say that the most brutal network when it comes to cancellations this year, has been The CW. By far. Earlier this year, the CW canceled fan favorites Batwoman and  Legends of Tomorrow. Then, on May 12, CW returned and cancelled Dynasty and Naomi,
among others. But the CW wasn’t alone, NBC also joined the bloodbath.

Known for its drama series and comedies, the NBC network cancelled four shows, two of which I did not see coming. Or perhaps I was on denial? Needless to say, it’s a sad day for network TV fans.

NBC shows cancelled too soon

  • The Endgame
  • Kenan
  • Mr. Mayor
  • Ordinary Joe

The Endgame was a new drama that captured our full attention. There were twists and shocking reveals at every corner. I’m sad the story won’t continue as it featured two amazing women in the lead. For those interested, season 1 of The Endgame is streaming on the Peacock streaming platform.

Kenan was such a fun comedy! It ran for two seasons, but the number in ratings was just not there for NBC to renew it for a third season. Kenan starred Kenan Thompson, Don Johnson, Chris Redd, and others. Mr. Mayor is another sitcom that only got a two season run, but it wasn’t as popular as Kenan, so the cancellation makes some sense.

Finally, we have Ordinary Joe, a drama series that was cancelled earlier this year by NBC. This one was surprising as I was really into the story. Which NBC cancellation has hurt most?
