Roswell New Mexico is set to premiere its fourth season on Monday, June 6. The series, which is a reboot of the ’90s teen drama, is one of the rare sci-fi fantasies on a network that errs more on the side of superhero shows, contemporary dramas, and supernatural series.

The show’s selling point, however, lies in its romances. While the love story between Michael Guerin and Alex Manes is the most talked about ship in the series, Roswell New Mexico‘s leading couple–Liz Ortecho and Max Evans–are the romantic heart of the show.

For three seasons, fans have watched their relationship go through astronomical ups and downs. And, they’re about to see it happen again as nothing can go right in the small town of Roswell. At least, not for the aliens that call it home and the humans who love them.

Season 4 will put the audience back with Liz and the gang after they’d managed to get out from under Jones’ dastardly thumb. The dictator, who also happens to be the man Max was cloned from, was shot last season in a stunning scene that saw Liz brandishing a shotgun and needing to pick the right “Max” before pulling the trigger.

But, while the dust may have settled for the characters on the show…for now, that doesn’t mean the coast is clear for fans when it comes to Roswell New Mexico‘s future.

Is Roswell New Mexico canceled?

Unfortunately, ahead of its season 4 premiere, Roswell New Mexico has been canceled. The show’s fourth season will be its final one. This news came with a wave of cancellations from The CW. Times are certainly changing at the network. This likely has to do with the upcoming sale.
