The road to the American Idol season 20 finale is nearing its end!

This Sunday night, the Top 5 contestants took to the stage in hopes of wowing America in hopes of making their way into the season 20 finale. This week, the five remaining hopefuls jetted out to Las Vegas to be mentored by former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood as they prepared to perform two new songs.

Following another amazing night of performances that got the judges on their feet, we had to say goodbye to two more artists as ABC set the stage for what should be a memorable finale! Whose Idol journey came to a close one week before the final episode of the season? Read on for your latest spoilers!

Who was eliminated on American Idol tonight? (May 15, 2022)

Unfortunately, tonight brought the end of Fritz Hager and Nicolina Bozzo’s American Idol journeys as the pair were eliminated at the end of the night.

There were arguments for any of the Top 5 making it through to the final three, but we feel pretty certain American has gotten it right. It should be an amazing finale as Huntergirl, Noah Thompson and Leah Marlene leave it all on the stage in hopes of becoming the winner of season 20. Who will walk away with the win? We’ll have to wait until next week to see!
