Will there be a sequel to the Lifetime movie Buried in Barlow?

Buried in Barstow premieres tonight on Lifetime. The action packed film, starring Angie Harmon, will take viewers to the California town in its title. It’s quiet in Barstow where Hazel King has been raising her daughter, Joy, and running a BBQ dinner.
The unassuming locale, that’s full of people trying to start over, is exactly where a former hit woman would put down roots. Too bad the past has a tendency to catch up to you know matter where you run.
It’s been well over a decade since Hazel bloodied her knuckles or put a bullet in someone in service of a job. But, when a man named Elliot comes to town, Hazel gets more than an unexpected romance, she gets dragged back into the life she swore she’d leave behind.
From the tender age of 15 to just after she found out she was pregnant, Hazel had been a gun for hire. Though it’s been years, her skill set hasn’t wasted with time. That’s a good thing considering she’s been handed one more job to do. One last hit and she can go back to the life she had been living before her past kicked the door down. Or at least that’s what she thinks.

Will the Lifetime movie Buried in Barstow have a sequel?
Yes! There will be a sequel to the film. Development is currently underway for the project. Harmon’s interview with ET highlights that the movie ends in a cliffhanger that’ll set up the second leg of Hazel’s story. When talking about the first movie, Harmon had the following to say:
"I had such a blast paying a bad guy. One of the things I love about Hazel and a lot of the characters in the diner is that they’re kind of like the Duttons in Yellowstone. They don’t necessarily make the most moral and ethical choices, but you’re still rooting for them to win."
The actresses also mentioned that Hazel’s fierce protectiveness of her daughter is what drew her to her Buried in Barstow role. Whatever the cliffhanger is, we know we’re definitely up for another ride with Hazel King, the new action hero on Lifetime!
