Has The Boys on Prime Video been renewed for season 4?

The Boys has been a unique series since it first launched on Prime Video. With big superhero franchises like Marvel and DC, they’re always seen as the good guys. But the series on Prime Video did something that’s the complete opposite.

In The Boys, superheroes are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods. All this attention causes them to abuse their powers rather than use them for good. And, a multi-billion dollar corporation is happy to cover up their dirty secrets. That’s what leads to a group of vigilantes, The Boys, on a quest to expose the truth.

The story of the show has come a long way since then, and the season 3 finale was just released on Prime Video. With such a popular show for the streamer, is the show coming back for a fourth season?

Has The Boys been renewed for season 4?

We’ve got great news for you, The Boys fans! The superhero television series has been renewed for a fourth season! Prime Video announced the news halfway through season 3. Based on a press release, over the first three days of its third season, the worldwide audience for The Boys grew by +17% from season 2, and +234% from season 1.

Right now there isn’t a release date for the next season. It’s hard to say when season 4 might be coming out. The first and third seasons were released in the summer, but season 2 dropped in September. We’re also going to assume season 4 will consist of a total of eight episodes, same as its predecessors. That hasn’t been confirmed yet though, so we’ll have to wait and see.

The franchise also now includes an eight-episode anthology animated series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, which is streaming on Prime Video. An untitled spinoff series is also in the works, set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes.
