Luck cast: Who’s in the new Apple TV+ computer-animated movie?

Apple TV+ and Skydance Animation’s new computer-animated fantasy is coming to the streaming service this summer! Luck will premiere globally on Friday, Aug. 5.

The new film mostly takes place in the Land of Luck. It’s a place where animals and creatures work behind the scenes to create the lucky and unlucky moments that make up our everyday lives. The whole operation works because no human has made their way into the land. But Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world, finds her way in. She hopes by being there she can turn her luck around, but Sam’s bad luck may lead to the shut down of the whole operation!

The upcoming movie has a star-studded cast including Broadway star Eva Noblezada, Mission Impossible actor Simon Pegg, multi-award winner Whoopi Goldberg, two-time Academy Award winner Jane Fonda, Once Upon a Time actor Colin O’Donoghue, among others.

Eva Noblezada

Eva Noblezada as Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world. When she ages out of foster care, Sam discovers the Land of Luck and embarks on a quest that could change her luck forever.

Simon Pegg

Simon Pegg as Bob, a lucky black cat from the Land of Luck who becomes Sam’s partner in the quest to find a lucky penny in hopes of preserving his lucky life.

Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg as The Captain, the Land of Luck’s head of security.

Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda as The Dragon, an exuberant CEO of Good Luck and undisputed luckiest ancient being in all the land.

The rest of the cast includes:

• Flula Borg as Jeff, a larger-than-life facilities engineer who maintains the magical machine that distributes good and bad luck to the human world, and who dreams of one day being reunited with his one true love, The Dragon.
• Colin O’Donoghue as Gerry, a loyal leprechaun who adores his job working with Bob at Arrivals and Departures in the Land of Good Luck and is the first to volunteer for any task, bringing good cheer wherever he goes.
• Lil Rel Howery as Marv, the owner of the Flowers & More store where Sam gets her first job. She is upbeat, sharply-dressed, and always ready with an encouraging word for unlucky Sam.
• John Ratzenberger as Rootie, a bad luck root and the self-appointed mayor of Bad Luck. He runs The Lucky Shot, the one and only Bad Luck watering hole, where he specializes in free advice.
• Adelynn Spoon as Hazel, Sam’s roommate and best friend at the Summerland Home for Girls. The five-year-old believes that she’ll be adopted by her forever family just as soon as she finds a real lucky penny, which Sam is determined to find for her.

Luck will debut globally Friday, Aug. 5. on Apple TV+.
