We have a huge horror movie and a big-time action thriller coming out this week. Below, we share the best new movies to watch in theaters and films available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

While the options this week might be limited, we have a couple of big-time releases that are going to be incredible to watch into this weekend. From a horror legend to the brothers who brought us some amazing films in the MCU. Let’s dive in.

New movies to watch (and stream) this weekend

  • Nope, In Theaters
  • Aftershock, Hulu
  • Anything’s Possible, Prime Video
  • The Gray Man, Netflix

First up, from the brilliant mind of Jordan Peele comes, NOPE. A movie that after seeing the trailer a few times, I still have no clue what we are in store for and that makes my excitement even higher. Peele is two for two for me with Get out and Us, so the moment NOPE was announced, I knew I would be seated on opening night.

We have the battle of the good looks dropping on Netflix this weekend. Ryan Gosling vs. Chris Evans in the Russo Brothers, The Gray Man. The film is about a CIA Operative Gentry (Gosling) who escapes prison and is on the run from a CIA Agent Hansen (Evans), and Hansen will do whatever it takes to bring down Gentry. The idea of Chris Evans chasing down Ryan Gosling in an action thriller is something I think we can all get behind. I can’t wait to check out this movie.

We have the directorial debut of Billy Porter set to drop on Prime Video in Anything’s Possible. The film is a coming-of-age story that follows Kelsa a high school girl who is trans as she navigates through her senior year.

What will you be watching this weekend? Will you be checking out one of the new movies on this list? Are you streaming a film or headed to your theater?
