Major spoilers ahead of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has made its debut on HBO Max!

The series is a spin-off of the popular ABC Family/Freeform original that followed a group of girls from Rosewood who were being targeted by the mysterious A. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has a similar premise, however, it seems they’re being harassed because of an incident involving their mothers.

22 years ago, Angela Waters jumped to her death at a Y2K party. Moments before she’d clearly been distressed but no one at the warehouse was paying her any mind. When she stumbled toward a group of girls on the dance floor, it was revealed they were the ones orchestrating what looked to be a bullying campaign.

While Sydney did initially respond to Angela’s pleas, she turned away from her when Davie pressured her to do so. Bereft, Angela climbed into the rafters. She jumped just as the clock struck midnight. She died on impact.

This horrifying opening for the show set-up a plot that would take Imogene, Tabby, Noa, Faran, and Mouse on a ride in the first three episodes with very little knowledge of how they even became the target of A. Secrets run through out the series and, in the first three episodes, each ending gives us some more of the pieces to this messed up puzzle.

Here’s what happened!
