There’s more adventures in the kitchen for celebrity Selena Gomez as her cooking show, Selena + Chef, is officially coming back for a season 4!

HBO Max shared the news that things will be sizzling in the kitchen once again very soon! The first three episodes of season 4 will premiere Thursday, Aug. 18. They will then be followed by another trio on Aug. 25, with the final four episodes scheduled to be released on Sept. 1.

And with a new season comes some changes! As the series started during the pandemic, Selena has been learning from some of the best chefs out there virtually. And even as the world opened back up, the series has kept this format.

That will remain in the upcoming fourth season except for one special guest – the infamous Gordon Ramsey! If you’ve watched the trailer, then you’ll see that the talented chef paid the celeb a surprise visit. Now that’s one episode I’m definitely excited about!

What to expect in Selena + Chef season 4

Here are the details we know so far. This time around, we’re moving out of Selena’s kitchen that we’ve seen for three seasons and the actress and singer is taking her cooking skills to a new home in Malibu. And eagle-eyed Disney fans will definitely recognize it. According to People, the coastal house is where Disney’s Hannah Montana filmed!

The chef’s who will be helping Selena out this season include Ramsay, Rachael Ray, Adrienne Cheatham, Devonn Francis, Kristen Kish, Ludo Lefebvre, Matty Matheson, Nick DiGiovanni, Paola Velez, and Priya Krishna. Each talented cook will once again highlight a charity of their choice.

Will Selena + Chef be impacted by Warner Bros. Discovery?

HBO Max and its parent company Warner Bros. have been making headlines recently as there are some big changes that have happened or are possibly coming to the streaming service. The media company merged with Discovery last year, becoming Warner Bros. Discovery. Now we’e starting to see the effects of this partnership.

HBO Max is reportedly not planning to make scripted television shows, Warner Bros. completely shelved new film Batgirl even though it was almost ready, and HBO Max quietly removed six Warner Bros. streaming-exclusive movies.

Now the fate of many shows and films remains to be seen, as Batgirl was already done filming and the company still chose to shelve it. So even if a project is finished, unfortunately it’s still not a guarantee it will see the light of day.

However, the newly merged company seems to be putting a focus on unscripted series, so it’s more than likely Selena + Chef is safe. Let’s hope so. Based on the trailer, this summery season is going to be fun!

Selena + Chef premieres Thursday, Aug. 18 with the first three episodes on HBO Max.
