Five Days at Memorial finale: When is the last episode of the season?

Five Days at Memorial can be a difficult watch because when you think about it, you remember the events happening are based on real-life situation. Of course, like any show or movie, the Apple TV+ limited series is dramatized at times. But, much of what’s portrayed actually happened.

We see how the doctors and other medical staff are left to their own devices to deal with Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. They were left to make choices they otherwise wouldn’t have made, including euthanizing some patients, as they were running out of food and water, had no air condition, and more hardships.

The medical drama stars Vera Farmiga as Dr. Anna Pou, Cornelius Smith Jr. as Dr. Bryant King, Adepero Oduye as Karen Wynn, Julie Ann Emery as Diane Robichaux, Cherry Jones as Susan Mulderick, Molly Hager as Virginia Rider, Michael Gaston as Arthur “Butch” Schafer, and Joe Carroll as Michael Arvin.

The first four episodes of the limited series are now streaming on Apple TV+. So when can we expect to see the finale?

When is the last episode of Five Days at Memorial?

Five Days at Memorial premiered on Aug. 12 with the first three episodes. At the time of this writing, episode 4 has just been released. The streaming service ordered a total of eight episodes, meaning we’re already halfway through the season. The finale is set for Friday, Sept. 16.

Here is when to expect the remaining episodes:

• Episode 5 – Aug. 26
• Episode 6 – Sept. 2
• Episode 7 – Sept. 9
• Episode 8 (finale) – Sept. 16

The first four episodes so far have shown us when the hurricane makes landfall in New Orleans, how the city flooded, and the hospital losing power. Episode 4 portrays conditions continuing to worsen, and that hospital staff have to grapple with how to best help their patients – and how that help will be prioritized.
