Emmys channel 2022: What channel is the Emmys on?

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards are back this year! We’re going to see one of Hollywood’s most important nights on our screens Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.

Taking on the key role of emcee duties is actor and comedian Kenan Thompson. This will be his first time on the Emmys stage as host, but it’s not his first time being recognized by the panel. The celeb is an Emmy winner, taking home a trophy in 2018 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics thanks to his Saturday Night Live sketch, “Come Back Barack.”

The Emmys have had to be hosted at other venues the last two years due to the pandemic. But this year, we’re going to see the familiar stage at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles once again!

So what channel do you need to tune into to watch the show this year?

If you’re eager to watch this year’s awards show on television, then you can do so on NBC! But there’s also another option. For the first time, the company will be streaming the ceremony live on Peacock as well.

The three-hour coast-to-coast live telecast will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT that Monday night. The Primetime Emmy Awards usually air on Sunday nights. But NBC had to schedule the ceremony on a different night to accommodate Sunday Night Football coverage. We’ll see how that move will affect viewership ratings.
