Looking for your next rom-com fix? Get to know the cast of the upcoming movie Bros before it hits theaters!

Bros is the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio. In addition to the film being a rom-com for the modern age, what makes this movie even more unique is that the film is mainly comprised of out actors from the LGBTQIA+ community including the straight roles. It’s great to hear about these thoughtful choices in casting and we’re hoping it helps Bros make a significant impact at the box office.

Nicholas Stoller, who is best known for directing comedies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, The Five Year Engagement, and Neighbors, is back in action for Bros while also having co-written the film with its star and executive producer, actor/comedian Billy Eichner. Judd Apatow also serves as an executive producer.

Check out the official synopsis here:

"Bobby Lieber, an “out and proud but also scared and self-doubting New York museum curator, is hired to write a romantic comedy about a gay couple. Along the way, he meets—and eventually falls in love with—Aaron, a “macho” lawyer."

Who stars in the movie Bros?

The lead character, Bobby Lieber is played by Billy Eichner, who is most known for his man-on-the-street interview TruTv show Billy on The Street in which Eichner takes a celebrity guest host along the streets of New York City while asking unsuspecting citizens their thoughts on whatever pop-culture questions he’s come up with for that episode. Eichner is also recognizable as the high-energy Craig Middlebrooks in NBC’s Parks and Recreation.

Canadian-American actor Luke Macfarlane stars opposite as Bobby’s love interest, Aaron. Macfarlane is known for his role in the ABC drama Brothers and Sisters, Syfy’s Killjoys, NBC’s The Night Shift, and has led a multitude of Hallmark movies, the latter making him the perfect fit for this upcoming major-motion studio rom-com.

The movie features a large ensemble cast including but not limited to:

  • Billy Eichner as Bobby Lieber
  • Luke Macfarlane as Aaron
  • Ts Madison as Angela
  • Monica Raymund as Tina
  • Guillermo Diaz as Edgar
  • Bowen Yang as Lawrence Grape
  • Harvey Fierstein as Lewis

Cameos include Amy Schumer, Ben Stiller, Kenan Thompson, Debra Messing, and Kristen Chenoweth.
