At long last, American Horror Story season 11 details have surfaced! Fans have been waiting for the release date, the cast announcements, the theme and synopsis, and, well, just about everything and anything AHS. On Sept. 29, TV Line shared everything to know about the upcoming season on FX. Hungry for another chapter of horror? You’ve come to the right place.

It has long been rumored that American Horror Story favorites, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, would not appear in season 11 of the horror series. It’s disappointing, to be honest, but both want to explore new project and we have to respect that. So what does this mean for the cast? Who is in and who is out?

Something else that has been heavily speculated is the theme for the season. Many believe season 11 will feature two stories, is that true? Now we know! Read on to learn all of the details.

American Horror Story season 11 release date

Cancel all plans, AHS fans! Season 11 arrives on Wednesday, Oct. 19 — and we’re getting a double premiere night as the first two episodes will air the same day.

American Horror Story season 11 cast

And now, for the cast. Drumroll, please! Starring in AHS season 11 on FX, we have both new faces and returning favorites: Zachary Quinto, Sandra Bernhard, Charlie Carver, Joe Mantello, Billie Lourd, Russell Tovey, Leslie Grossman, Charlie Carver, Isaac Powell, Denis O’Hare, and Patti LuPone.

Let’s address the elephant in the room…Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are nowhere to be found on the cast list, confirming rumors that they would not be returning. However, if AHS is known for anything, it’s surprising fans. So while I wouldn’t hold my breath on a Peters or Paulson cameo, it is a possibility.

American Horror Story season 11 theme

The title for the upcoming season is American Horror Story: New York City. Now, this doesn’t reveal anything about what we will see, but it does give us an idea. At least we have a setting! As soon as we learn more or a teaser trailer is shared, we’ll update this post!

Though we enjoyed watching American Horror Stories on Hulu, it’s great to have the original series back on FX.
