A true-crime saga starring Kumail Nanjiani is set to come to Hulu this fall! New series, Welcome to Chippendales, is inspired by the book Deadly Dance: The Chippendales Murders by K. Scot Macdonald and Patrick MontesDeOca.

Kumail Nanjiani takes on the role of Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee, the founder of Chippendales. Murray Bartlett as Nick De Noia, Annaleigh Ashford as Irene, Dan Stevens as Paul Snider, Juliette Lewis as Denise, Quentin Plair as Otis, Robin de Jesús as Ray Colon, Spencer Boldman as Lance McCrae, Nicola Peltz as Dorothy Stratten, Philip Shahbaz as Peter Bogdanovich, and Andrew Rannells also star in the show.

The new Hulu series tells the “outrageous story” of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest dance troupe, Chippendale. The group is known for their striptease performances, and is the first all-male stripping troupe to make a business performing for mostly female audiences. And, Somen will let nothing stand in his way in the process.

When new episodes of Welcome to Chippendales out?

The series will premiere Nov. 22, 2022 on Hulu with the first two episodes. Installments will then be released weekly on Tuesdays until the finale on Jan. 3, 2023. There will be a total of eight episodes in the limited series.

Here is a breakdown of the episode release schedule:

  • Episode 1 (premiere) – Nov. 22
  • Episode 2 – Nov. 22
  • Episode 3 – Nov. 29
  • Episode 4 – Dec. 6
  • Episode 5 – Dec. 13
  • Episode 6 – Dec. 20
  • Episode 7 – Dec. 27
  • Episode 8 (finale) – Jan. 3, 2023

Co-creator Robert Siegel and lead actor Nanjiani serve as executive producers. Co-creator Jenni Konner, Dylan Sellers, Matt Shakman, Emily V. Gordon, Nora Silver and writer Rajiv Joseph also executive produce. Mehar Sethi takes on writing duties, Jacqui Rivera is co-executive producer, and Annie Wyman is a co-producer.

Welcome to Chippendales is set to premiere Tuesday, Nov. 22 on Hulu.
