Tuesday, Oct. 25 brought us a string of reruns on CBS. How did that help the other shows on broadcast TV? Here’s a look at the TV ratings.

With FBIFBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted taking the week off from new episodes, it gives other TV shows a chance to perform well in the live TV ratings. It’s worth noting that CBS still had reruns, and those reruns performed well.

All three shows are already renewed for next season, but something to note is that all three took the top three spots in the total audience for the night in scripted shows. It’s no wonder they’ve been renewed already.

What about the rest of the shows? We’re not looking at the unscripted shows, and we’re not so worried about New Amsterdam, which is in its final season. Here’s a look at everything else.

The Winchesters up, The Rookie: Feds down in the live TV ratings

The Winchesters performed well during the night, ticking up 42% in the demo and up 16% in the total audience. While the numbers are still on the low side compared to the rest of broadcast, this is normal. I do expect to see this series renewed.

The Resident was mixed for its 100th episode. It was down 3% in the demo but up 8% in the total audience. The show has even moved up the list of FOX shows recently, which could help it score another renewal.

In the next hour, La Brea performed well with a 25% upward tick in the demo and almost a 4% upward tick in the total audience. It is NBC’s best scripted show on Tuesdays, but it’s not performing as well as the first season. I do suspect we’ll see a renewal, but I think NBC will wait to see how January shows perform before making big decisions.

Monarch was steady in the demo and up 13% in the total audience, which is good. Is it good enough? This show got off to a strong start and then slipped. It’s now toward the bottom of all FOX shows, which puts it in the firing line.

Professionals dropped 100% in the demo. It did manage to tick up almost 4% in the audience, but it’s probably not going to be enough. The good thing about the series is that it’s an acquisition so that could help keep it on the air. However, it’s worth noting that the Canadian series has not been renewed for a second season in Canada yet, and that doesn’t look good.

Finally, we have the 10 p.m. timeslot. The networks are looking at getting rid of this, and when we see how The Rookie: Feds performed, that’s not too surprising. It was down 31% in the demo and 10% in the audience, and that’s just after it landed a full-season order. This series is performing much better on streaming, so it does suggest the timeslot is a problem. Thankfully, the streaming figures could help to keep the show on the air.
