There were so many blindsides in the latest episode of The Challenge: Ride or Dies, we’re sure even the challengers are still recovering from the plot twists that unfolded this week.

So much went down in episode three that we don’t even want to dare to keep you in limbo any longer. Here’s what happened on last night’s episode of The Challenge: Ride or Dies episode 3.

The Challenge: Ride or Dies episode 3 recap

From exes returning to the game to a player juggling his many love interests, every challenger needed to make the hard decisions to propel further in the game. However, while decision-making is a necessary skill everyone must have, it was everyone’s endurance that was tested in this week’s daily challenge.

Week 3 Daily Challenge: “Build Me Up”

Each pair had to haul six large barrels to three checkpoints in this competition. At each checkpoint, they had to stack the barrels in a way that allowed them to reach a flare. After setting off all three flares, they had to race all six barrels to the finish line to clock in their time.

This battle showed everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. Analyse Talavera and Tommy Bracco struggled to carry the heavy barrels back and forth, while Faysal Shaffaat and Moriah Jadea stepped up to the challenge, practically bulldozing through the finish line.

Though Johnny Middlebrooks and Ravyn Rochelle were neck and neck with Faysal and Moriah’s time, it was Faysal and Moriah who took home the win.

Winners: Faysal Shaffaat + Moriah Jadea

During deliberation, Faysal and Moriah thought it best to keep the veterans off their back, for angering the legends too soon may come back to bite them sooner rather than later. Still, the two wanted to put in a strong duo that would make their game much easier in the future.

Here are the four teams they decided on:

  • Analyse Talavera + Tommy Bracco
  • Ravyn Rochelle + Johnny Middlebrooks
  • Colleen Schneider + Kim Traenka
  • Olivia Kaiser + Horacio Gutierrez

As for the Draw, The Challenge shined down on Analyse and Tommy this time. The pair then made the tough decision to save Colleen Schneider and Kim Traenka over their friends Olivia Kaiser and Horacio Gutierrez; a betrayal that may come back with a vengeance.

Week 3 Eliminated Competition: “Double Decker”

In this reimagined version of the Hall Brawl, each pair had to push their opponent to the opposite end of the platform. When the pair on the bottom finished their heat, it released the doors on the upper level, prompting the pair on top to battle in their heat. The teams alternated until one pair won two out of three heats.

Johnny and Ravyn were on par with Horacio and Olivia’s level. So much so that Johnny won one heat for his partner. However, slippery floors didn’t work in Johnny and Ravyn’s favor, causing them to fall multiple times. Naturally, Horacio and Olivia used their opponents’ disadvantage to their benefit and went for the kill.

T. J. Lavin is certainly trimming the fat, but, as you might have guessed, this host has a few more plans to beef up the competition.

Just like the last couple of weeks, another veteran pair has entered the game. Who will it be? What does their arrival mean for the remaining players? All this and more will be revealed in the new episode of The Challenge: Ride or Dies premiering on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 8:00 p.m. ET on MTV.
